Jessica’s practice incorporates high-stakes litigation experience with the practical understanding of in-house employment counsel. She is a skilled in quickly processing large amounts of data into critical facts and issues, and leveraging that information for strategic outcomes and creative problem-solving.
Jessica regularly represents clients involved in a wide variety of civil litigation and business matters, with a focus on employment claims and disputes regarding discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour claims, and others.
Prior to joining BNCJ, Jessica worked for Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, a top tier global law firm. At Orrick, Jessica counseled a wide range of clients -- from small businesses and tech startups to Fortune 100 companies -- throughout the employment relationship, including contract review, wage and hour compliance, hiring and separations, performance management, background checks, company handbooks and policies, leave and accommodation requests, investigations, trainings, and other compliance with state and federal regulations.
Jessica also focuses on pay equity and pay transparency laws, and she previously served as a member of California’s Pay Equity Task Force to develop step-by-step guidance for navigating the evolving pay equity landscape.
